Three Bangalore blast case suspects arrested in Chennai

Three men have been arrested from Chennai in connection with the April 17 blast near the BJP's office in Bangalore.

The three suspects -- Basheer, Peer Mohideen and Buhari -- were nabbed from a hideout in the Flower Bazaar area of the Tamil Nadu capital.

They were arrested in a late night operation by the Bangalore Police with the help of the Tamil Nadu intelligence sleuths.

According to the police, the suspects played a key role in the blast. They are suspected to have last bought the motorcycle that was used in the blasts which left 17 people injured.

Cell phone records led the investigators to the three suspects. Tamil Nadu Police had developed computer-aided portraits of the three suspects based on inputs given by the seller of the motorcycle.

Karnataka Police would be taking the suspects to Bangalore for further investigation in the case.
