A seven-year-old girl is in hospital after allegedly being raped at the government school she attends in north-west Delhi. This afternoon, around 300 people gathered outside the hospital in protest and threw stones and bricks damaging several buses before the police dispersed them with a lathi-charge.

The girl is a student of Class 2 in a primary school run by the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD). Her family has said in a police complaint that she was raped on Thursday afternoon.

The police have made no arrests yet but have detained a security guard and two male teachers of the school and are questioning them.

The girl was taken to hospital this morning, and doctors said she was in a stable condition, though traumatised. The police have sought the help of a non-government organisation to counsel the child as they try to get more details about the incident from her.

There were widespread protests for days in Delhi after the brutal gang-rape of a 23-year-old medical student in a moving bus in December last year, demanding better security for women in the national capital. The police have made promises since, the government has brought an Ordinance on new laws on sexual assault, but cases of rape and assault of women have continued with alarming regularity in Delhi.

There is No changes in Tax Rates..

New Delhi: Giving small relief to tax payers, Finance Minister P Chidambaram announced a tax credit of Rs. 2,000 for persons with income up to Rs. 5 lakh.

The proposal, he said, will benefit 1.8 crore tax payers entailing a revenue sacrifice of Rs. 3,600 crore. The other slabs and rates have been kept unchanged in view of constrained economy, Mr Chidambaram added.
"In a constrained economy, there is little room to raise tax rates or large amounts of additional tax revenues.

Equally there is little room to give away tax revenues or the tax base. It is time for prudence, restraint and patience," Mr Chidambaram said.

As per the existing slabs, tax on income from 2 lakh to 5 lakh is at 10 per cent, up to Rs. 10 lakh at 20 per cent and above 10 lakh at 30 per cent.

In the Budget proposals for the next fiscal year, Mr Chidambaram proposed a surcharge of 10 per cent on persons with income of over Rs. one crore. The proposal will cover 42,800 individuals and tax entities.

LPG are providing through Aadhar Card in Andhra Pradesh

 The East Godavari District Collector Neetu Kumari Prasad has directed officials to take steps and connect LPG distribution to Aadhar-based service by March 15.

During a meeting with bank officials and gas distribution agencies on Wednesday, Ms Prasad discussed the modalities of linking delivery of LPG cylinders to Aadhar-based services.

She directed officials to complete the entire process by March 15 as the district has been selected for the Aadhar 'pilot project'.

Three, out of 9.37 lakh LPG connections were brought under Aadhar-based system in the district, she said.

An advertisement campaign will be launched to create awareness about the scheme, she mentioned.

At the time of receiving LPG cylinders at home, customers will have to hand over photocopies of the bank account number, Aadhar card, LPG consumer number and their phone number to the delivery boy, she added.

Man Flung in air , BMW car hits a tree in CC Camera Records at Ahmedabad

The driver of a speeding black BMW abandoned the car seconds after it hit a tree, but it is the minutes before that which are recorded in chilling detail on security cameras outside a shopping complex nearby.

At midnight on Sunday, the BMW collides with a motorcycle, flinging its two riders into the air.


25-year-old Shivam Dave would die on his way to hospital minutes later. His friend, Rahul Patel, who was steering the bike, is in critical condition.

What the 20 seconds of footage do not show is the driver. The police say that after hitting the motorcycle, the driver of the BMW kept going, dragging the bikers for about 200 metres, before hurtling into a tree. At this point, they say, the driver left.

The car is owned by a local doctor, Amit Shah. He says his driver was at the wheel, and is now missing.

The young men on the motorcycle were on their way home from dinner. Two other friends were following them on a scooter. They claim they spotted the driver running away from the car.

Hyderabad Bomb Blast: It kills 2 unborn Babies also

Along with the 16 people who were killed, nearly 120 more were injured in Thursday's twin blasts at Dilsukhnagar, a suburb in Hyderabad. Among them was 30-year-old Yashoda, who was six-months pregnant with her second child. She was on her way back home from work when she was thrown away by the impact of the blast and landed on her stomach. She not only hurt her ribs severely, but also, lost her unborn child.

Another victim of the terror attack is Lakshmi, 23, who has not seen her son since the blasts. She is among the four members of her family who were injured in the blasts. They all had gone for dinner to Dilsukhnagar when the blasts occurred.

Kolkata: Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde on Sunday said the culprits involved in the Hyderabad blasts, which killed 16 persons and left several injured, would be booked soon.

"We have got some materials there (at the blast site) and tests are being done in the forensic laboratory. Soon we will get the results and the culprits will be booked soon," Shinde said. He said the government was expecting some sort of reaction from terror groups following execution of the only surviving Pakistani terrorist Ajmal Kasab in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks and of Afzal Guru in connection with the 2001 Parliament attack and had been issuing alerts in this regard.

"We were expecting that after the two executions, some reaction had to come," Shinde said, referring to the execution of Kasab and Afzal Guru. "We had been giving alerts throughout the country," he said.

 Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde said the govt was expecting some sort of reaction from terror groups following the executions.

Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Annayya' was released on 7th January, 2000 while Victory Venkatesh's 'Kalisundam Raa' was released on 14th January, 2000. If 'Annayya' was made with mass elements, 'Kalisundam Raa' was touted to be a family entertainer. Both the movies got blockbuster successes at the box office. However, 'Kalisundam Raa' had got slightly more collections than 'Annayya'.

Interestingly, Chiranjeevi's son Mega Power Star Ram Charan's mass entertainer 'naayak' was released on 9th January, 2013 while Victory Venkatesh's family entertainer 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' was released on 11th January, 2013. Both the movies got the statuses as blockbusters at the box office. However, this time Ram Charan showed a clear lead of collections through 'naayak' than 'SVSC'. Subsequently, Cherry has taken the revenge of Chiranjeevi's after a gap of 13 years by collecting more than Venkatesh's movie for Pongal.

Politics is a dirty business and over the years the standards of the politicians have come down with the various members abusing their opponents at a personal level. But there was one exception and it was BJP. From a very long time, they were criticizing the administration and the policies but never got personal.  Recently they also joined the dirty game when they took on the family of late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy. Their special target was Brother Anil, husband of Sharmila. Sharing their thoughts with the media, BJP reportedly alleged that Brother Anil is a businessman and he has done manipulations with foreign funds.  This is nothing new since such allegations were coming in from few years on behalf of the TDP. But with BJP getting into such a personal attack it has become an embarrassing situation for the party and its workers who always maintained a clean path in that matter. Already the situation of BJP is very weak in AP and with such comments they are bringing more damage to themselves.

The last few days saw some of the congress biggies from Hyderabad visiting Delhi and sitting in front of the congress high command. One among them was CM Kiran Kumar Reddy himself. The issue has been about the possible replacement of CM Kiran and the PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana.  According to reports, Kiran went ahead and showed the results of the first phase of Coop polls to prove his mettle. He was able to convince the high command about the strength of the party in the state. It is heard that Sonia and team were somewhat convinced with his version and they are also aware that a suitable replacement is not around.  But the situation of Botsa seems to be a little shaky. He has been the cynosure of controversies from quite a while and his constant difference of opinion with CM Kiran has also gone against him. As of now, no decisions seem to have been made but sources say the bomb can be dropped on him at any time.
