Urvasi come's back on to the screen

Veteran actress Urvasi, who has acted in all four south Indian languages is back on the big screen after a brief hiatus, playing the central character in the film Pechiakka Marumagan.

While she plays Pechiakka, director Tarun Gopi dons the role of her marumagan. Urvasi will be seen playing an uneducated village woman who cares more for human relationships than materialistic comforts, a role she says that comes once in a lifetime.

“When director Balakumar approached me and narrated the emotional family drama, I was totally floored with the way my character was written. You rarely come across such roles and I just grabbed it without any apprehension,” she says to DC. 

Pavitra movie pressmeet on May 10th

Shriya Saran is plays the role of a prostitute in the film ‘Pavitra’, which is scheduled for release on May 10, 2013. Director Janardhan Maharshi of ‘Devasthanam’ fame mentioned that the film has come out to his utmost satisfaction and is confident will be a success. 

The trailer of the film was released on the April 21st and during the event Janardhan Maharshi said, “Shriya is playing a bold role in the film and she is perfect for this kind of role. When my producers asked me whom I wanted to cast in the lead role, I happened to casually mention Shriya’s name and the very next day, I got a chance to narrate the story and impress her. Once, I read a news article where a governor of a state had insulted a prostitute and after sometime, she contested in the elections and defeated the governor. The story of ‘Pavitra’ is inspired from that incident.”

Apart from Shriya, the film has Roja, Sai Kumar, Sayaji Shinde and Sivaji playing the main roles. MM Srilekha is composing the music.

There are PINK dolphins Also!

There are officially two recognized species of Amazon river dolphins. They're part of the folklore of the people who live around them. Local folklore speaks of 'encantados,' shapeshifters who look like dolphins by day, but spend their nights seducing people and having illegitimate children with humans.

Deforestation and other human made natural disasters are endangering the pink dolphin, so it's important for everyone to be aware that we're endangering the life of such an awesome creature.

Kamasutra 3D Film - Acting Sherlyn Chopra and other 8 Members with Nude

Sherlyn Chopra, who was thrown out of her debut film 'Kamasutra 3D', is back in the film. Director Rupesh Paul says that along with the actress, others will also do nude scenes in his movie.

Rupesh Paul told IANS: "Sherlyn is a very dedicated actress and she is very passionate about her job. I don't think any other actress could justify it. Besides, it's a very bold subject where she is going nude and there are eight actors in the film who are also going nude."

He further added: "Sherlyn is playing a princess in the film and I am not ready to compromise with any scene in the film."

He will start rolling the film by March 15.

"We will start shooting in Rajasthan. We have just shot two to three percent of the film and now the real journey will begin."

Sherlyn was thrown out because she leaked some montage scenes from the film.

"After the incident, she has become more mature and responsible. Had I cast anyone else, the tantrums from the actress would have been the same. But one thing I like about Sherlyn is her dedication," said Paul.

Mobile Charging with Hot Water...! Super

While researchers are busy finding newer sources of energy and ways of harvesting it, Ryan Johnstone, an independent inventor based in Nairobi, Kenya, has invented a solution that could help mobile phone users charge their devices with just the power of hot water. Ryan has developed the Bottle Charger, as he likes to call it, an apparatus that utilises the power of hot water to run a small turbine, which in turn produces electric current potent enough to charge small devices.

Explaining its working, Ryan said to The Mobile Indian, "The Bottle Charger works like a small wind turbine. Instead of natural wind currents, the pressurised air is created by expansion and contraction due to the presence and absence of hot water."

This change in air pressure is then used to run a small turbine that sits inside the apparatus and generates electricity for charging mobile devices. The inventor claims that the Bottle Charger creates electricity as long as you have access to hot water of around 100 degrees Celsius. With this the Bottle Charger enables users to charge smaller electronic devices such as mobile phones, MP3 players and so on for 15-30 minutes depending on surrounding temperatures.

Churchill signs Chettri on loan from Lisbon I-League club Churchill Brothers signed India football captain and forward Sunil Chettri on loan from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon for four months. Churchill Brothers' president Churchill Alemao said from Goa that the forward has completed his signing Tuesday and will be playing the remaining of the matches in the I-league and the AFC Club Cup. "We have just completed the signing of Chettri. He will be available for four months," said Alemao, without disclosing the amount that was paid for his transfer on loan. The club president said they wanted to rope in Chettri last year only but the India captain had already committed himself to Sporting Lisbon's B team in the second division Portuguese league. "We wanted him last year only. But he had already committed himself to Sporting Lisbon. This time when we approached him, he readily agreed," said Alemao. Chettri signed a two-year contract in July last year that would keep him with the Lisbon club till June 2014. But Chettri, a former Kansas City strike, found it hard to break into the ranks and spent most of the time warming the bench in the Liga de Honra, which is the second division Portuguese league. Chhetri never got a start in any of the 15 matches this season so far. Chettri came on as a substitute thrice and stayed on the bench on 12 occasions. In all, he managed just 46 minutes in three matches. The 28-year-old made his debut in 2-0 win against Freamunde coming on as a substitute in the 87th minute. His next match was in Sporting B's 3-2 win over Braga B during which he played for just three minutes after he came on as a substitute in the 88th minute. Chettri spent 39 minutes, the most during his stay at Lisbon, in his team's 2-3 loss to União Madeira that was his last appearance in December. Chettri, who is the third Indian to ply trade in an overseas league, has been desperately trying to make his mark in overseas clubs without any success. He had an unfruitful stint with American Major League Soccer (MLS) club Kansas City Wizards in 2010. Chettri left after spending much of the time on the bench in Kansas. The next year, Chettri appeared for unsuccessful six-day trials at Glasgow Rangers and later rued the lack of "enough opportunities" and termed his short stay there as "disappointing". He had brief stint with I-League clubs Chirag United and Mohun Bagan before finally signing for Sporting Lisbon in July last year as a free agent.

Power star Pawan Kalyan is ready with full Energetic and Entertainment

Power star Pawan Kalyan might well be a top star and his craze among fans and stamina at box office may be mindblowing but one drawback is still there. His films don’t really work for the family audience. His previous films ‘Gabbar Singh’ and ‘Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu’ were more commercial.

But now it is heard that Pawan Kalyan has decided to come in full dose and enthral the family audience. The credit for that must be given to director Trivikram Srinivas who has reportedly carved out a script which will be a complete family entertainer along with the required material for Pawan fans.

Those who heard the storyline in a nutshell are already declaring that this is a sure shot hit. About his love life, there was no cliches such as 'we are just best friends' or 'talk about it later'. Talking about girlfriend Priya Runchal, he revealed, "Priya and I met through common friends. Definitely there was attraction, but it takes much more than physical attraction to be in a relationship. I am in a happy space right now. She is extremely supportive and prefers to be away from the public eye. If she calls me at 11.30 in the night and I am caught up with something or am tired, she says I should take rest or go to sleep once I am done with work. It means a lot to me. She gives me space and I give her space. She is currently in London to pursue her two-year full-time MBA, so ours is a long-distance relationship. We will get married when I take a break from work."

Loyalty being an integral part of a long-distance relationship, the actor added, "It's important to be loyal. Loyalty, to me, is to be with the one person that you are in love with. I am not a possessive boyfriend though."

When asked about former girlfriend Bipasha Basu, the actor stated, "I don't speak negative about my past relationships. I don't pay attention to what is written. After a while, it stops affecting you."

Nayak Did it for Chiru....?

Megastar Chiranjeevi's 'Annayya' was released on 7th January, 2000 while Victory Venkatesh's 'Kalisundam Raa' was released on 14th January, 2000. If 'Annayya' was made with mass elements, 'Kalisundam Raa' was touted to be a family entertainer. Both the movies got blockbuster successes at the box office. However, 'Kalisundam Raa' had got slightly more collections than 'Annayya'.

Interestingly, Chiranjeevi's son Mega Power Star Ram Charan's mass entertainer 'naayak' was released on 9th January, 2013 while Victory Venkatesh's family entertainer 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' was released on 11th January, 2013. Both the movies got the statuses as blockbusters at the box office. However, this time Ram Charan showed a clear lead of collections through 'naayak' than 'SVSC'. Subsequently, Cherry has taken the revenge of Chiranjeevi's after a gap of 13 years by collecting more than Venkatesh's movie for Pongal.
